You got different options to supplement B12. Those are:

  • Spray – one of the most common ones are sprays. You just have to spray once a day one dose under your tongue and you are perfectly fine. I also have one of them at home, but I don’t use them daily, as I am using my toothpaste. But twice a week or so (just when I remember). I use it just to be on the safe side and have enough B12. And no worries the spray doesn’t even taste bad, I even like it 😀 (that’s the one I use: https://www.iherb.com/pr/Pure-Vegan-B-12-Spray-500-mcg-1-fl-oz/17795)
  • Injections – a lot of people use this kind of method because you usually just go about 4 times a year (depends on your B12 level and how fast it drops) to a doctor and he will give you an injection. I have never done it because I don’t like injections 😉 and I think it is cheaper and easier to just supplement it at home. But some people which can’t absorb the B12 (it doesn’t work with food nor with supplements, because the body is just unable to absorb it) the only possibility is to use injections.
  • Pills – they work like the spray. You just take one per day or one per week (depending on the dose). You all know how pills work 😉

The only thing you should/have to supplement as a vegan is B12. Have a look at B12 in general here or the article about deficits.

  • Product with supplemented B12 – there are already some products with added B12 and it looks like there will be even more in the future. I would say the most common one is soymilk or other milk alternatives with added B12. But there are also others and you will recognize them easily, as they usually declare it very clearly.😉 But you need to consider the amount of B12 and how much you need of those products to reach the intake of 2.4 micrograms of B12 per day. I think in the future this could really be a solution, but right now it isn’t a reliable source for me, because there are not enough products to cover my intake right now.

Do the change and go vegan

By simply making other choices in the supermarket you can have a direct impact on the harm caused to other living beings. If you have any concerns regarding veganism have a look at my other articles and if you still have open questions or if you are struggling at a specific point, just leave me a comment or contact me directly. If you want to support this webpage and me to continue spreading the vegan message you can do this here. Thank you a lot.

Don’t close your eyes and ask yourself what stops you to make a difference? I am convinced you won’t regret it.
