The statement is not totally wrong. Because the milk of every species is designed to let babies grow as fast as possible. But do you know any animal (disregarding of us humans) which drinks milk from another species? No. And do you know a species which drinks milk in the adulthood? No. Why do we think we need milk after childhood to live healthy when no other animal on earth needs it? Because we are told to by advertising and media. And of course there are some nutrition’s in the milk which has a positive effect on us, but we can get them also from other sources without side-effects. Without looking at different studies and arguing about which nutrition’s are positive and which are negative for your body, I want you to understand some basic logic. A cow is way bigger than we are and a baby cow is growing several times faster than a human baby. To accomplish this the milk has a different composition (e.g. more protein than human milk). Every animal needs a different composition of nutrition’s to grow healthy. Human milk, for example, has three times more vitamin C than cow’s milk. So it seems obvious that the milk of another species is not ideal for us. Because milk is made for a bigger species than we are and is letting baby cows grow pretty fast we could agree that milk also makes humans bigger. But not per se stronger (for this you need to go to the gym ^^). So if you want to get stronger you can do this also on a plant-based diet. I recommend you to stop drinking milk for a couple of months and have a look at your skin (it will change) and look healthier.

Look at all these milk alternatives. With plant-based milk alternatives you have so much more variety in taste and it is fun to try out new ones 🙂 Of course, they don’t taste exactly like cow milk if you drink them pure, but for cooking purposes, dressings and deserts you will definitely find one. And even if not I am convinced that you will find one you like as much as cow milk. And give it some time. Your sense of taste will have change as you are expecting another taste. My favorite is oat milk and for dressings, I often use soy products. Find your preferred one 🙂

Do the change and go vegan

By simply making other choices in the supermarket you can have a direct impact on the harm caused to other living beings. If you have any concerns regarding veganism have a look at my other articles and if you still have open questions or if you are struggling at a specific point, just leave me a comment or contact me directly. If you want to support this webpage and me to continue spreading the vegan message you can do this here. Thank you a lot.

Don’t close your eyes and ask yourself what stops you to make a difference? I am convinced you won’t regret it.
